At The PennyJar, your privacy is not a policy — it is a principle. We built this tool because we believe every Canadian deserves access to clear, honest financial planning without sacrificing their personal information to get it.

Every number you enter into any calculator on thepennyjar.ca — your income, your mortgage details, your expenses, your closing costs — exists only in your browser on your device during your active session.

Your data never leaves your device. It is never transmitted to our servers. It is never written to a database. It is never logged, tracked, or recorded in any form.

• All calculations happen entirely within your browser
• No data is ever sent to The PennyJar servers
• No cookies are used to track your session or behaviour
• No analytics tools monitor what you enter
• When you generate a PDF, that document is created locally on your device only
• When you leave the page or close your browser, every number you entered is gone permanently

When you click Clear All or simply navigate away from thepennyjar.ca, your data is truly and permanently erased. There is no recovery, no backup, no record — because none was ever created.

This is intentional. We believe your financial information is yours alone. The moment you are done with it, it should disappear completely.

• We will never ask you to create an account or provide personal details
• We will never contact you based on information entered in our calculators

When you choose to save your results as a PDF, that document is generated entirely within your browser using your local device's resources. The PDF is created on your device and saved to your device.

At no point during PDF generation is any of your data transmitted to The PennyJar or any third party service. The QR code embedded in your PDF points to thepennyjar.ca and contains no personal information whatsoever.

If we ever update this Privacy Policy, the effective date at the top of this page will reflect that change. We are committed to maintaining the same core principles — your data belongs to you and only you — in every future version of this policy.
